Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Thursday that three men have been arraigned for the July 13 fatal shooting of 22-year-old Bronx resident Khalil Lyons in Peekskill.
The indictment alleges that Peekskill resident Demetrius Bogan and Shrub Oak resident Sean Deleon shot and killed Lyons at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Park Street. A third suspect, Yaro Gaddy Waller, has also been charged with hindering the prosecution and tampering with evidence in relation to the shooting.
Deleon and Gaddy Waller were arrested Aug. 7, while Bogan was arrested Friday, July 27, 2018, following a three-week investigation into the shooting.
Bogan and Deleon were both charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Gaddy Walker and Deleon have been charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence. Deleon alone has been charged with criminal possession of marijuana and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Bogan and Deleon have been remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. Gaddy Waller is free on bail. All three are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Oct. 10 to answer the charges.
